Our strategy shares our plans for the future
What we do
It has never been more critical to provide access to green space and to engage people deeply with nature – both for their own wellbeing and to inspire action to protect the natural world for the future.
Demonstrate
We care for and improve the spaces we manage for sustainability, biodiversity and to support healthy communities.
Engage
We engage and inspire people with the environment, empowering us all to make change happen for people and the planet
Influence
We influence decision makers so that more people can access and engage with diverse green spaces.
Our projects
-
Providing for pollinators
Bees, butterflies, moths and other pollinators are a vital part of our ecosystems but they're under serious threat. At Earth Trust Farm we're demonstrating how pollinator numbers can be improved, without compromising food production. -
Farmland Bird Conservation
Farmland birds indicate the quality of the agricultural environment as they sit near the top of the food chain. -
Ponds for Wildlife
Little Wittenham Wood is home to one the country’s most significant populations of great crested newts and in 2012 we created new ponds for them to breed in. -
Living Ash Project
Following the emergence of ash dieback, Earth Trust led a 5 year partnership project to find resilient ash trees. -
Norton & Yarrow Cheese
Maker of artisan goats' cheese, Norton & Yarrow Cheese joined the farm in February 2016. -
Meadow Plant Nursery
Meadow Plant Nursery specialises in perennials and baskets. All plants are organically grown using peat free compost and fed with home produced comfrey fertilizer. -
Hedgecraft
Clive Leeke is a traditional hedge layer and conservation contractor. -
Emma’s Ewesful Acres
Emma tends to 300 breeding ewes and a herd of Pedigree Sussex Cattle. -
Farm Step Programme
Farm Step provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for people to start their own green business.
