Earth Trust Community Reserve Bioblitz Event

Join us for an exciting evening of wildlife surveying at Abbey Fishponds Nature Reserve!

As part of our Earth Trust Community Reserve Bioblitz, we’ll be exploring the site at dusk to identify and record nocturnal species.

The target species we’ll be looking to spot include smooth newts, bats and moths.

What to expect:

Led by Earth Trust Ranger, Charley, and our volunteer experts, we’ll be using specialist equipment – including moth traps, high powered torches and bat detectors – to discover the hidden world of our night-time wildlife.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature, contribute to conservation efforts in your local area, and learn more about the diverse species that call Abbey Fishponds home.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re an avid wildlife-spotter or a curious beginner, come and be part of this exciting citizen science event.
