Making a difference

As an Earth Trust volunteer, you’ll be part of a dedicated team, passionate about making a difference to sustainability, biodiversity and wellbeing using the power of natural green spaces.

Why get involved?

People join us for a myriad of reasons. To learn new skills or gain work experience, for the social side – making new friends, connecting with others – perhaps to improve their physical health or mental wellbeing. Or simply to give something back or be out in nature.

Whatever your motivation, we can guarantee a rewarding and satisfying experience, whether you join a regular work team or support us on an ad-hoc basis.

Exclusive events and activities

We run a year-round programme of events and activities, exclusive to our volunteers. From training sessions to keep you up-to-date on our strategy and projects, to socials and get-togethers to meet your fellow volunteers, a private Facebook group, podcasts and more.

We also provide free Earth Trust branded t-shirts and fleeces for our volunteers to wear, and in the winter months beanie hats and warm gloves too.

Support every step of the way

When you join us you’ll be warmly welcomed into our volunteer community and fully supported by a dedicated staff member. They’ll provide you with role specific training, advice and guidance, through your induction and on an ongoing basis. And our Volunteer Team is always available to support you too.

Making sure you are happy and confident in your role is our priority.

Many thanks for all the efforts you put into creating a real volunteer community, with the bulletin, talks programme, social events, social media, etc. It is by far the best of all the organisations I volunteer with.

Diverse and inclusive

Earth Trust is a friendly, positive and collaborative place.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and the roles we have available are as varied as the people we have in our team.

We strive to be a diverse and inclusive place where we can all be ourselves and we are committed to equality of opportunity for all our staff and volunteers.
