Plans for developing Earth Trust Centre

Gateway to accessible, natural green spaces

We host more than 200,000 visits a year across our green spaces, and are working creatively to find new ways to welcome and excite people about our amazing environment, whilst protecting our heritage.

In 2020, we embarked on an ambitious project to develop the Earth Trust Centre,  bringing together longstanding ambitions to improve our facilities for visitors, extend our educational opportunities, and inspire debate and action about how we enjoy and protect our green spaces into the future.

Our development plans will provide a greater welcome for visitors, transforming their experience of the Earth Trust Centre through upgrading of our existing facilities and the building of new ones.

To date, this has included the development of one of our barns into an ‘Innovation Hub’ to provide a welcome and orientation area and multi-use space for Earth Trust and its partners, and the creation of Earth Lab – our education and skills centre.

Longer term plans include a farm shop, a café, and ‘Earth Adventure’ – a playful outdoor area where everyone can discover more about the value of wildlife rich green spaces and the heritage of our landscape.
