Wellbeing in Nature at Earth Trust

Unwind and reconnect with nature through a unique wellbeing experience at Earth Trust.

If you’re feeling tired, stressed, disconnected, or simply in need of a lift, spending restorative time in nature could be exactly what you need.

Join meditation practitioner, Laura Baxter from Roots to the Earth, for an intimate, small-group session (maximum 6 participants) designed to nurture your body, mind, and soul. Set in the tranquil surroundings of our arboretum, this event offers an opportunity to slow down, embrace the natural world, and engage in activities that inspire calm and creativity.

What to Expect:

  • Nature Meditation: Relax and ground yourself in the peaceful arboretum.
  • Mindful Movement: Gentle, nature-inspired exercises to bring awareness and ease to your body.
  • Woodland Craft: Allow your creativity to flow using materials found in the natural world.
  • Nature Poetry: Pause and reflect through the beauty of words inspired by the environment.
  • Seasonal Tea: Enjoy a warm, comforting tea made with seasonal ingredients.

Rediscover the joy of being present in nature.

Practical Information:

  • Walking and seating: Participants must be able to walk to and from the arboretum (approx. 1.5km in total) and sit on the ground for part of the session. (If you need a chair and can carry one, feel free to bring it along.)
  • Come rain or shine: The sessions will go ahead, whatever the weather (unless extreme weather conditions). If we learn to experience the rain through our senses we can actually transform the way we see it, and even come to enjoy it!
  • What to bring: A rug or mat to sit on, and anything else to ensure your comfort.
  • Clothing: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, including waterproofs if needed.

Accessible Pricing

Championing inclusivity is core to our mission, and we believe that cost should not be a barrier to participation so to make this event accessible to as many people as possible, we are trialling ‘Pay What You Can’ pricing.

As a local environmental charity, the fees from our courses and events, along with your generous donations, enable us to champion accessible green spaces for all and inspire positive action for people and the planet. If you can afford to pay more than the standard price, your contribution will directly support others’ learning experiences.  Thank you.
