Orienteering Adventures

Get set to explore Wittenham Clumps with us through a day of fun orienteering

Is your child adventurous, do they like to explore new places? Then we have the perfect half term activity for them!

The day begins with our intrepid young explorers getting to know each other with some fun team building challenges. Then it’s time to learn key orienteering skills – map reading and how to use a compass – followed by a practise session in the safety of our Earth Lab gardens.

After lunch, we head over to the hills – the impressive Wittenham Clumps – to take on orienteering challenges to put your new navigational skills to the test, traversing around the area to find all the markers. In small teams, we’ll be finding out fun facts about the history of the landscape as well as honing collaborative and communication skills.

Get ready to discover the hidden wonders of Wittenham Clumps on an unforgettable day of exploration!
