Family History Day: Sensational Stone Age
Take a trip back in time with our immersive history-based family events as we bring the ancient world to life!
This Summer, we’re bringing you four fantastic Family History Days, each one distinct and unique in its own right. From building survival shelters to learning to wattle and daub, playing Roman games to weaving your own yarn; our Family History Days allow you to traverse time, learn about the past, discover new skills and have great fun whilst you do it!
In our first session, we’ll be journeying back thousands of years to the Stone Age and a landscape rich in ancient history.
Together as a family, you’ll step into the shoes of early humans – testing your Stone Age life skills, building survival shelters, and learning how to spark fire like our ancestors once did. Get hands-on with real Stone Age artefacts, and unleash your creativity as you craft your very own cave painting, inspired by the art of prehistoric people.
Don’t miss this day of discovery, adventure, and connection to the distant past—perfect for curious minds of all ages!
