The meadow footpath will be temporarily closed from Monday 8th August for around 6 weeks to help protect our livestock.
The diversity of plants in our green spaces not only allows wildlife to thrive, but people too. Humans are wired to respond positively to plants and nature; seeing greenery and colourful flowers helps us feel more relaxed and calm.
The floodplains of Riverside Meadows are now a spectacle to behold as we can all enjoy the results of our wildflower seeding project.
Sowing wildflowers in a flower pot or bare patch of garden provides vital resources for pollinators and other insects (it’s also lots of fun to do!).
The meadow will be closed to visitors from Monday 17th May, and will reopen after the hay cut later in the summer to help protect our livestock.
As the warm weather continues, we wanted to share some of the plants coming into their own at this time of year. The diversity of plants in our green spaces not only allows wildlife to thrive, but people too.
