Twelfth Night: Open Air Theatre
Creation Theatre presents ‘Twelfth Night, Or What You Will’
Wednesday 22nd Jul
The award-winning Creation Theatre is Oxfordshire’s largest producing theatre company. Specialising in classic texts in unusual locations for over 25 years, it brings the stories we know and love to life.
It isn’t summer until you’ve seen Creation’s summer Shakespeare and this year, we invite you to step into a world where mischief sparkles, love gets gloriously tangled, and laughter is never far away. Creation Theatre’s fresh new production of Twelfth Night brings Shakespeare’s most playful comedy into a vibrant, contemporary setting – bursting with wit, warmth, and irresistible fun for audiences of every age.
‘Bring your own seating’, so bring along a picnic blanket or chairs, and enjoy the magic of outdoor theatre. Visit the Creation Theatre website to find out more and book tickets.

Shipwrecked and separated from her twin brother, Viola disguises herself and dives headfirst into a whirlwind of mistaken identities, unrequited love, and deliciously ridiculous schemes. As hearts collide and chaos unfolds, nothing is quite what it seems—and everyone is in on the joke.
This bold, modern take celebrates everything we love about Shakespeare: razor-sharp humour, unforgettable characters, and moments of genuine magic. Expect a fast-paced, visually inventive production packed with music, physical comedy, and plenty of surprises along the way.
Come for the comedy. Stay for the chaos. Leave smiling.
