Little Acorns: Summer of wonder
Little Acorns is back for summer – the best time of year to get out and discover the wonders of nature. Join us through July and August for a spectacular range of summer play days!
Explore the natural world on your doorstep, dive deep into the busy world of bees, take your teddy bear out for a picnic, or be transported to a world of magic and splendour. The choice is yours!
All our summer events will feature the classic crafts, mud kitchen, water play and garden games we know your little ones love so much, along with a little sprinkle of something special – and afterwards, enjoy a picnic in our beautiful gardens, grab an ice cream and coffee from our pop-up café, and relax.

Woodlands, Wizards and Witches
In this session, we’ll be developing your little ones’ curiosity with the magic of nature in our beautiful gardens. Whether it’s creating their own wand with natural materials, or brewing up special potions in the witch’s kitchen, your child can let their imagination run wild!
They’ll create their own willow broomstick and race their fellow witches and wizards, and follow the garden trial to help our witch find her lost hats. End the adventure with a story in the shade of the magical Yew.

Teddy Bears Picnic
In this session, we invite your little ones to bring their favourite teddy bear to join in the fun at Earth Trust! Build a shelter, make a mud pie and serve your teddies some summertime herbal drinks.
In our beautiful gardens we will be investigating summer, connecting with nature through craft activities. Your little ones and their special friends will have plenty of time for all the usual Little Acorns fun, with tractors to race, summer potions to mix, mud kitchen to explore, music wall to play and hammocks to relax in.
At the end of the session we’ll all come together for a special story for all the teddies and children with an elderflower lollipop made from our very own elderflower trees.

Buzzy Bees
In this session, we invite your little ones to explore the wonderful world of Bees! Discover why these tiny creatures are some of the most important insects in the world.
Your buzzy little bees will have so much to explore and enjoy! Dress up as a Bee, go on a pollination trail, learn the bee waggle dance, and connect with nature with our buzzy bee crafts. Finish the session with a chance to gather together and enjoy the moment with stories and honey cake.

All children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult per max 2 children). You are responsible for the safety of your children at all times.
- Please bring any drinks/snacks you might need
- Wrap up warmly, we’ll be outdoors for most of the session!
- Weather-dependent activities — we’ll adapt if needed.
- Our Session Leader is a trained First Aider and all adults are DBS checked
We may take photographs at the session, to help us promote our future events, but just let the Session Leader know if you would rather not have your child in these.
