Earth Skills
Our Earth Skills programme is designed to provide skills-based learning relevant to the challenges facing humanity. Now more than ever, we need skills to tackle the threats of biodiversity loss and climate change.
Every week we welcome dozens of young people to Earth Trust for engaging, hands-on learning in the real world. For many, it’s the highlight of their week. We know that the time they spend at our incredible location inspires and motivates them, energising their learning in school.
Our unique Open College Network accredited ‘Countryside Skills’ course is aimed at pupils who struggle in the traditional classroom setting, teaching them ‘green’ and transferable skills over the course of a year, with the aim of providing employability benefits. ‘Life Skills’ is our new real world skills-based learning programme which takes place over a single term through a 6-8 week ASDAN accredited course, building experience and improved self-esteem.
