Ancient Britons
Human History learning experiences
Escape the classroom and be transported back to learn about changes in Britain from the Stone Age to Iron Age.
Immerse your pupils in a landscape steeped in history and bring Ancient Briton to life.
With Wittenham Clumps as their background, your class will start their adventure in the Stone Age becoming hunter gathers, foraging for supplies and building shelters in our ancient woodlands. After lunch, they will visit an Iron Age hillfort and learn how these impressive structures were built and used over ,2500 years ago. To finish the day, choose to explore either period in more detail with fire lighting/cave painting, building a round house or making ancient bread on an open fire.
Your class will come away from the day inspired and eager to return to the classroom to learn more!
