Become a Volunteer

In line with government advice for reducing the spread of Covid-19, Earth Trust has made a few changes to the way we’re working. All staff are working from home unless it is absolutely necessary they attend one of our green spaces and the majority of volunteering has been suspended. Please feel free to still enquire about volunteering but be aware that current opportunities are limited to roles that can be carried out in isolation or at home. Please get in touch if you have any questions and thank you for your support.x

Volunteers are part of the family and are invaluable to us at Earth Trust. In fact, we couldn’t get so much of our work done without you! In 2016 our volunteers’ hard work was rewarded with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the MBE for volunteer groups.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and we’re always on the lookout for new ways that volunteers may be able to help us. Many of our opportunities do not require any previous experience as we provide a full induction and many of them can be flexible to work around you.

We have opportunities across the whole organisation from regular conservation groups on our green spaces to helping in and around the office; from lending a hand at our half term activities and bigger events to promoting Earth Trust out in the community. If you’d like to get involved, then we’d love to hear from you!

As well as regular opportunities, we are sometimes on the lookout for volunteers for more specific roles. There opportunities are advertised below:

Hear from our Volunteers…

“I really enjoy volunteering. Put simply it is very satisfying and rewarding being involved in maintaining local green spaces. There are opportunities to not only learn new skills, but to actually use them for real too.” Mike Towndrow, regular conservation and maintenance volunteer
