What’s in store?
Packed with activities, there’s fun for all the family!
Follow the farmer’s trail 🧑🌾 to learn how food has been grown and made on our land for thousands of years! Learn to thresh wheat to release the seeds, grind grain into flour with a quern stone, and spin wool sheared from our sheep. You’ll even pick your own vegetables for your lunchbox, fresh from the earth in our edible garden.
Scale the hay bales! 🏃 Run, jump, chase, race and tumble across our hay bale obstacle course. Challenge your friends to a climbing contest or a race through the bales, or see who can climb the highest. How far will you see from the top?
Taste the summer 🥗 Pluck ingredients from the ground in our Edible Classroom, and wash and prepare them to make your own delicious salads. Discover how ancient people harvested wheat and grain, and how to identify herbs and plants by their smells and tastes.
See summer like a scientist! 🔬 Meet our beekeepers and their hives, learn how these amazing creatures help our crops, and see if you can spot the queen! Explore our nature table, look at insects and reptiles through microscopes, and discover how the miniature world of minibeasts keeps our soil healthy.
