Countryside Skills for Key Stage 2 Home Educators
We are excited to be running a series of Countryside Skills sessions for home educated children in 2019. Our next session will run on Tuesday 10th December (1pm-3pm), when we will be using tools to make Christmas reindeer, weaving willow to make festive wreaths and crafting Christmas decorations using natural materials.
Our fourth session will take place on Tuesday 7th January 2020 (1pm-3pm), with activities including using natural materials to create a bug hotel and learning how to use a kelly kettle to make hot chocolate.
Our fifth session will run on Tuesday 4th February 2020 (1pm-3pm), when we will have a go at willow weaving to make hurdles and learn how to light fires safely to do some campfire cooking.
Information on further sessions in 2020 will be posted in due course.
There is a cost of £15 per child per session, with a maximum of 15 children on each session. This is suitable for children in Year 3 to Year 6.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at a 2:1 ratio and due to the nature of the activities, younger siblings/children cannot attend the session.
