Temporary Closure of meadow at Neptune Wood

We will be temporarily closing the wildflower meadow, which is accessed from Neptune Wood, to the public for approximately three weeks from the 26th September.

The meadow supports an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife. In order to maintain the biodiversity and wildflower populations in the meadow, it is essential that it is grazed by sheep and cattle.

Unfortunately there have been a number of dog attacks on sheep whilst they are grazing in the meadow. As a result, we have taken the  decision to close the meadow to the public throughout the upcoming grazing period, beginning on 26th September. This is a necessary measure to ensure the protection of our livestock.

Thank you for your support to help keep the Earth Trust farm farming!
