Get exploring… online and off
We’re launching a test version of our new interactive digital map – will you be one of the first to try it?
As more people are making the most of opportunities to get outdoors for their daily exercise, we want to share with you some of the less explored parts of our green spaces. Studies have shown that green spaces that are rich with different landscapes and habitats are better for our mental wellbeing. So from our smaller community reserves to iconic landscapes, we’re developing a new map to help you find some of these less-visited gems.
The new online map will help you discover these green spaces at home or when you are out and about. You can zoom in on places to find out more about each of them, highlight footpaths to plan your route, and even watch related videos.
The prototype is now ready: click here to view the map
(Please note, it works best on a desktop, laptop or tablet)
But this isn’t our map – it’s yours!
We really need your feedback to help shape how it could look as we continue to develop it. We want to make it as engaging and informative as possible, and now is your chance to get involved and influence its creation.
Please could you: use the map, go exploring, and then tell us what you think?
Just hit the feedback button at the bottom of the page to tell us what you loved, and what we could improve. We’re keen to hear it all, so whether you’re 5, 55, or 105, let us know how you find it. We’ll update you later in the month with what people said and how we’re looking to improve it based on your comments.
Have you found somewhere new to explore?
