New Earth School history workshops
We’ve had a busy start to the new school year at Earth Trust, welcoming various schools for both Earth School sessions and visits to Didcot Sewage Treatment Works. As we continue to move through autumn, we’re now gearing up for our upcoming history season!
Over this term our main focus will be on history and archaeology as we undertake further archaeological exploration across the Earth Trust site. Working with DigVentures, we’ll be digging into the past to uncover how people lived in Oxfordshire thousands of years ago. We’re excited to be offering an amazing opportunity for schools to witness history uncovered right before your eyes.
Our history workshops are interactive, fun and educational, and are offered for a variety of time periods: Stone Age, Iron Age, Roman Britain, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. If you book one of our history workshops between 11th and 22nd November 2019 or 10th and 28th February 2020, this will also include the opportunity to visit the dig, meet real archaeologists, and take part in hands-on activities to help bring the past to life.
Visit our Earth School page to find out more about our history workshops and to see the full range of Earth School sessions on offer. Alternatively, you can get in touch with our Environmental Education team who will be more than happy to help.
