Earth Trust have been running educational visits at Earth Trust for over 35 years giving young people the opportunity to learn outside the classroom. We welcome over 3000 school children per year and this year we have refreshed our sessions and are ready for the new school year.  Our dedicated team of Earth School Tutors will work with your students to offer them a unique day of  discovery and learning and a day they wont forget.

Our location, environment and dedicated trained staff are our best teaching tools and every workshop we run is based outdoors. We are lucky to boast the site of an Iron Age hill fort, SSSI woodland, grassland and river Thames all within walking distance of our main site.

Our new and improved sessions are customisable to your curriculum needs and we cater for all Key Stages.

After the long winter months,  Spring is an extra special time on the Earth Trust farm.  Join us for a spring-focused farming workshop, as life bursts forth once more!

Your class will get close up to  shepherd Emma’s new-born lambs and if your very very lucky even see one being born. Pupils will also learn about the arable crops grown at this time of year, find out what they make,  and use our quern stone and mill to mill wheat and oats. You’ll also have the opportunity to milk our cow and have a go at making butter.

For more information and to tailor your activities to the age and interest of your class please email the Learning team.
