Food on the Farm and Lambing
Come and visit Shepherd Emma’s flock of sheep during the lambing season. Pupils will see lambs that are hours old or if they are lucky they may see a lamb being born. They will learn about basic sheep husbandry and why we look after sheep. In addition they will have a chance to role-play as a farmer in our unique play area.
Pupils will be taken on a tour of the farm and up the Wittenham Clumps to discover more about sustainable farming.
Activities are weather dependent but will always include a visit to Emma’s sheep sheds and tour of the farm.
