Earth Trust have been running educational visits at Earth Trust for over 35 years giving young people the opportunity to learn outside the classroom. We welcome over 3000 school children per year and this year we have refreshed our sessions and are ready for the new school year.  Our dedicated team of Earth School Tutors will work with your students to offer them a unique day of  discovery and learning and a day they wont forget.

Our location, environment and dedicated trained staff are our best teaching tools and every workshop we run is based outdoors. We are lucky to boast the site of an Iron Age hill fort, SSSI woodland, grassland and river Thames all within walking distance of our main site.

Our new and improved sessions are customisable to your curriculum needs and we cater for all Key Stages.

The Wittenham Clumps offer a first hand physical history experience which brings the past to life! Our site has been important to civilisations since the Stone Age and throughout history, all the way through to the Viking era.

Archaeological investigations here have found evidence which tells the story of the people who lived in the Roman, Bronze Age and Iron Age eras. Visit us to step back in time to the ages of woolly mammoths, Iron Age hill forts and Roman villas!

We have a range of artefacts to handle, myths to share and traditional skills to teach. Sessions can include Ice Age, Stone Age, Iron Age, Celtic, Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking history; please also see the specific workshops we have on the Stone Age, the Iron Age, Romans and Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
